Daisy chain function of new chargers
The new charging device supports “serial connection” means that multiple chargers can be daisy-chained on the same power line, without laying a separate cable or installing a new circuit for each charger.
If a family originally installed a charger for only one electric car and now buys a second car, there is no need to pull a new 240V line from the power box. Just connect another charger of the same model and connect the two devices “in series”. They can intelligently distribute power, such as a total of 22kW, and the two cars may each get 11kW, or dynamically adjust according to charging needs.

Speaking of 22kW, the new Type 2 charge point can now deliver Level 2 charging speeds of up to 22kW, compared to the typical 12kW peak of most home chargers—though this requires a dedicated 100-amp circuit.
In addition to the sharing capabilities, the new devices also support dynamic load balancing, which adjusts the charging rate based on your home’s real-time power usage to avoid exceeding the limits of your electric service.
The new chargers are also capable of bidirectional charging.
